Gordie Zilke
Gordie Zilke, with 48 years of construction experience under his belt, has passion and ambition which follows through his family history; beginning two generations back with his grandfather and father who were also construction business owners. Impressively, at 19 years old, Gordie had leadership skills, construction experience, and knowledge in his field to run his own team in the family company.
By the age of 20 he built his first home. Interested in expanding his knowledge beyond construction alone, Gordie took 3 years of architectural design classes. Seeking opportunities to expand his breadth of work, Gordie became a termite inspector for KMT Enterprises where, in his 17 years with the company, he was their Regional Construction Manager and traveled between Northern and Southern California remodeling large apartment complexes.
Always aspiring for more, Gordie began his own business, Valley View Termite Control, where his background in construction and love for pest control meld together. As a successful local business owner for the past 15 years and counting, Gordie is returning to his construction roots. Valley View Construction Company focuses on residential property remodeling.
Cory Cook
From a young age, Cory Cook was brought up with a construction background; having spent every summer break working in residential construction which fostered his passion in his field. He garnered his exceptional experience from high school years into a full time career working for a general contractor after graduation, where he honed his skills in various installations and repairs; from plumbing and electrical to countertops, decks, windows, etc. By the age of 25, Cory worked with a contractor who specialized in entire house remodels where he gained insight into all stages of construction including reading plans, framing, and finished carpentry. Alongside his uncle, Gordie Zilke, and Valley View Termite Control, Cory expanded his knowledge of construction into structural pest control. He has forged a strong work ethic and pride in his craftsmanship. He brings his well-rounded skill set with him to Valley View Construction Company.
